SimBrew
Short description – The goal of the “SimBrew” research project is to integrate a factory simulation model with the SAP enterprise resource planning system using the Emulate3D simulation software and industry-specific interfaces and standards (e.g., OPC UA, Weihenstephan standards). Communication between the participating systems is intended to enable the demonstration of changes in each instance. To this end, changes made in SAP templates will be visible in the simulation, and feedback from the simulation will be displayed in the SAP templates, thereby offering customers the opportunity to gain as comprehensive an understanding as possible of factory operations.
The Industry Analytics team is responsible for developing the simulation-based digital factory twin, while PRECOGIT GmbH focuses on developing the necessary templates in SAP. The research project is supported by SimPlan AG, one of the largest service providers in the field of simulation, which contributes its expertise to the project.
